"Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too
few to mention I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course, each careful
step along the byway And more, much more than this, I did it my way"
~Ercept from Frank Sinatra's 'My Way'

My brother, Michael passed unexpectedly
from this earth on July 26th, 2007. This memorial page is dedicated to him . I know he would want it to be said
of him... he did it 'his way' !

TO MICHAEL
It's so hard coming to terms with the fact that you're not here.
The mind accepts but the heart just won't let go.
I still see your beloved face and hear your voice as clearly as
if you were here. Why you were taken so suddenly, only God can know but I trust in His judgment and know we will meet again.
They say to everything there is a season and for me it's a time
to mourn. I accept this also.
When I talk to you, can you hear me, little brother ? Somehow
I think you can. We are separated in life but we're not apart.
Do you remember the time you took me sailing, cooling off
in an icy ravine one sultry December or lending me your prize possession, your surfboard one perfect
summer's day ? Can you recall the way you'd sing a Beatles' tune slightly off- key and I'd give you a knowing grin ?
There is so much more in the windows of my mind..
I bet you're still riding the 'big ones' in heaven, perhaps
even teaching others as you so often did in life.
Here, on a perfect September day, I feel close to you once again.
I can still hear you humming some refrain but best of all dear Mick, it sounds perfectly in tune. Beloved
brother, it is time now for me to go but not before I tell you once more, "I will always love you".
~ Kathy

Some people come into our lives and quietly
go. Others stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.
~ Anon

The tune playing in the background is 'Surf's Up'.
Somehow I think this is appropriate.
